The 2017 Trends in Branding

No matter what goes on the world, companies will continue to find new and innovative ways to sell products and services to consumers. What are some of the branding trends that will take off in 2017?

 Here’s the lowdown:

1. With politics – both in the US and in India – taking centre stage, you can expect activism to become part of brands trying to make a sales pitch. Branding agencies will try to win over consumers by pandering to their political views. While companies might lose a few customers trying to sound political, they might gain more in return.

2. Companies, and branding agencies, will tell the truth, and nothing but the truth. Consumers are tired of being fed lies. They want to relate to brands. Therefore, branding agencies will strip down their messages and keep it basic. They will reach out to consumers by being transparent. However, what remains to be seen is whether big corporations will agree to come on board. Branding agencies in Mumbai are also trying to be as transparent as possible.

3. Most brands will use social media, especially picture-sharing platform Instagram, to sell products to consumers. Considering most people would prefer visuals to heavy text, companies will spend a sizeable amount of money on promoting products on social media.

4. Companies will also be using short videos to get their message across. Branding agencies are doing their best to cater to this new demand. Short videos grab attention and are easy to share. If they contain viral content, chances are that they will reach out to a larger consumer base. There are a number of branding agencies in Mumbai which are taking the social media game seriously.
